FAUBION PK-8 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Faubion PK-8 Elementary School represents a unique partnership between the adjacent Concordia University (CU), Trillium Family Services, Kaiser Permanente, and Portland Public Schools. This facility pioneers a new hybrid of elementary school that co-locates CU’s College of Education and the Faubion School, providing a hands-on learning experience for young educators, mentors, and tutors for students. The school and its adjacent exterior spaces presents a balance between each partner’s need for identity and experiences for all students from ages “3 to PhD”. The site is carefully integrated into the neighborhood, providing access to the grounds which include a large play field, playgrounds, and two large covered play areas designed for year-round use.
