NORTH CAMPUS HOUSING

The University of Washington’s North Campus precinct is a unique landscape of natural character unspoiled by the surrounding campus. Distinguished by its association with the iconic landscape of the Pacific Northwest, the North Campus Precinct is defined by a forest-like canopy of trees and majestic views from the eastern ridge, overlooking the Cascade Mountains and Union Bay. The design intent for the North Campus Housing project is to unite the open space and new residence halls together in a continuum, integrating the cultural and sylvan elements of the campus. Careful consideration was taken to maintain scenic views and the natural character of the Precinct throughout the design process.
