ONE OAK STREET
One Oak is a residential high-rise tower at the intersection of Market Street and Van Ness Avenue in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The tower engages the street level with a restaurant and new plaza space, framed by a series of pop-up retail kiosks and a connection to the Muni system. Clusters of smooth planters create spaces for outdoor performances and respite, shielding noise from Van Ness Avenue. The planters partially anchor an overhead shade structure that evokes local wind patterns and provide visual identity at this busy intersection. The tower above includes a rooftop terrace for cookouts, lounging, and cocktail parties, surrounded by a series of planters with lush planting and views back to downtown.
