The Riverfront Legacy Master Plan is a comprehensive vision for the redevelopment of the eastern bank of the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita. Driven by community engagement and input, the master plan provides a robust framework for future cultural, private, and public investment. The 20-year plan creates a new cultural hub comprised of numerous capital projects including: a performing arts center, convention center, pedestrian bridge, a reconnected street grid, and sustainable urban development. The hallmark of the Master Plan is a central civic green space that embraces and activates the riverfront for Wichitans and visitors alike.
